WHAT IS ePGP

Eligibility criteria - Academics, SOP (statement of purpose), Corporate Candidature(Resume), CAT/GMAT/GRE/IAT followed by the personal round of interview/interviews.

Program - EPGP is a long duration hybrid Post Graduate Diploma program primarily for working professionals. It is a sort of executive MBA program like Wharton/MIT Sloan/UCLA run. The curriculum is a world-class mixture of management study and advanced case studies. EPGP program has campus modules and satellite classes in metro cities, so people, while working, can also study the world-class management program from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Campus module is conducted at the beginning of each semester and succeeded by satellite classes, which are highly interactive sessions taken by highly qualified, world-class experienced professors.

This is not just a management program but way more because the cohort is a phenomenal mixture of different industries professionals, entrepreneurs, and the network for life. IIMA always tries to connect all batches through various activities, group participation, events, competitions, and sometimes gala dinner networking.

During the class discussion, you come up with some of those matured conclusions, which would open up your mind to a different level in management strategies. And sometimes, you may get a partner to your dream venture.

Rigour - It's a hybrid program, which means classes are conducted on campus and online, but you would never feel that you are away from campus. The rigour IIMA has is a level above any other institution in India and maybe abroad. 7-10 days campus module is a mix of classes & exams, and from Thursday to Sunday, classes are conducted at technology partner's designated centres in metro cities. Interactivity in the course is quite similar to the physical classroom (my experience). Many students who feel shy in the class get active in satellite classes. Curriculum, Case study method, syllabus, quizzes, surprise tests now and then, mid-term, end term, class participation, individual presentation, group presentation, projects, and analysis make IIMA EPGP altogether different and set a benchmark to other institutions.

e.g. The average experience of our current batch stands somewhere around 11 years. 2/3 of the class is engineers; more than half of this comes from IITs and NITs. The cohort is a mix of engineers, directors of multi-billion dollar companies, entrepreneurs, civil services professionals, scientists, charted accountants, lawyers etc. So the quality of discussion in our class is way different and matured. Even you would often hear from faculty that they like teaching EPGP because of the level of debate, as we all apply the real-life experience in the case study discussion.

The level of difficulty of the program can be understood by this way that professors challenge students with an open book, open laptop, open mobile exams, and students still feel helpless..hahaha... But we feel happy and proud that why the level of IIMA is the level of the sky. We understand why alumni of IIMA have that trust in their alma mater. Now we know why the best companies want to recruit from IIMA, why IIMA CTC goes beyond imagination, and why people say that IIMA is IIMA.

The dream coming true is just one sentence, But the experience is far more than this.

MY JOURNEY

I belong to a village in western UP, where there was no formal school when I started my schooling. I started my education from a school running in a house, and I studied there until 7th. For further education, I joined a school in a small town a few kilometres away from my village in class 8th moved to Bareilly city in class 10th. I had no idea why I was studying and passed 10th, 12th & B.Sc. without any vision to life. English was just a subject to pass, and I never thought this would be a communication medium. There was no vision/mission in life; I was studying for the sake of getting literate.  After getting a B.Sc degree, there was nothing to do. So I thought to move to Delhi to get a job so that I could run my hand to mouth life, but I didn't get any work, as every good job needs a skilled person or at least a good communicator. Finally, I decided to teach as a private tutor. And this was even more challenging, As CBSE/ISCE board had a lot of English, and parents wanted...
